I couldn't believe this weekend I was spending it with Tae my parents though I was going to my girls house, but that of course a lie. Tae and I have been hanging out so much without my parents suspecting a thing. I mean if they were ever home.

Tae and I were hanging out at the park with his boys and a few chicks from around the way. It was a Tuesday, so I should have been in school, where my girls were. Jamie and Kiara had stopped skipping with me a few weeks ago, but that was fine. I could do more without them constantly in my face.
"Yo, baby," Tae said, "what movie do you wanna see?"
I was so caught up in my thoughts that I wasn't even listening to the conversation.
"Ummm... Alex Cross," I replied, saying the first thing that came to my mind.
Everyone else in our crew groaned. This girl named Tia said, "Everyone else picked Here Comes the Boom."
"Everybody else ain't my girl, so shut up," Tae snapped.

"It's cool Trey we can go see the other movie." I said giving a weak smile. I really didn't care what we went to go see as long as I was with Trey I would be good. I looked around and saw this girl who looked like she slept outside last night.
"Naw if you want to see Alex Cross we will." Trey said.
"There go Shuneal girl." Tia teased.
"Girl you just mad cuz I don't want you." He replied.
"Yeah, but you want a girl who comes outside looking like that."
"Whatever." Shuneal said getting up and walking towards the girl. They talked for awhile and the whole time she looked like she was going to bust out into tears.

After a few minutes of watching from the sidelines, I joined them.
"Yo, you alright?" I asked the girl. Other than her distraught her and facial expression, she was pretty. She kind of looked like Demetria McKinney.
She nodded. "I'm fine."
Shuneal grabbed her hand. "You need me to go get Mekhi for you?" He stood up before she could respond.
"Shuneal, don't-"
"I'll be right back. I'ma go get Mekhi. Asia, stay with her until I get back."
"Bet," I yelled after him. I turnd my attention to the girl. "What's your name?"
"Mickey." She wiped a stream of tears from her face.
"And who is Mekhi?"
"My son." As soon as she answered the question, the tears came back.

I almost didn't know what to say, but I felt really bad for her. Whatever her situation was it was rough and I could clearly see it in her eyes. For her to have a son she looked a little young but older than me. After a while the side conversations in the group died down and the silence was broken by Mickey's sniffles so I rubbed her back to calm her down. After a while Shuneal came back holding a baby in his arms before handing him to Mickey.

He tears quickly turned to tears of joy.
"Oh my gosh thank you so much." She said jumping up and taking her son after she hugged Shuneal for a long time.
"You welcome shorty. So where you gone stay at now?" He said bringing up her current situation.
"I don't know I'm just so glad I got my son back."
"You can stay at my crib." Shuneal suggested. She just looked at him.
"Thanks, but I can't you know how that's going to look?" She questioned unsure.
"Come on Mickey don't try and play me like that I got a three bedroom and if I only had one bedroom you'll sleep in my room and I would sleep on the couch."

"Well...okay." She said.
Tae looked at me. "You sure?"
"Yeah boo I'm fine." I hugged him and gave him a long wet kiss before walking to Shuneal's house with Mickey.

We watched a few movies and talked about general stuff until Shuneal arrived at about nine o'clock. I was happy he did because I didn't want to leave Mickey alone and my parents were home that night, so I had to be in the house by nine-thirty.

"Okay and thanks for staying."
"Your welcome bye." I said hugging her and walking out the door. I called my driver to meet me down the block. I hope everything with Mickey goes well.

"Good evening, Asia," my driver said as I climbed into the car.
"Hello," I replied.
"I don't think your mother would approve of you being here."
"That's why you're not going to tell her." I tossed fifty dollars into his lap.
"You can't bribe me, Asia."

When we pulled up it was almost ten thirty, but because I was in the car with the driver we could just say it was traffic. My driver opened the door for me and went to park the car and my maid opened the door for me.
"Hello Miss Smith." She said.
"Hello." I went inside and my parents were in the kitchen eating. "Hi mom...hi dad." I said before giving them both a hug.
"Where have you been?" My mom asked.
"I was stuck in traffic coming from Jamie's house."
"Okay well at least we know you were safe." My dad exclaimed.

I cut my mom off. "I know. I'll call next time. I'm sorry."
"Okay." She kissed me on the forehead. "Your father and I are flying to Paris tomorrow, but we'll be back two days later. Should we get you a baby sitter or are you going to Kiara or Jamie's house?"
"Can't I just stay here alone, Mommy? The maid and the chef will be here."
"Absolutely not."
I groaned. "Fine. I'll stay with Kiara."

I don't understand why my parents think I'm big enough for them to fly half way across the world without me, but I can't stay home alone. Sometimes my life made no sense to me. All of a sudden I lost my appetite so I just went up to my room.

I was so tired of having everything I wanted but nothing at all. Sometimes I want my parents just to notice me and others I'm just glad they don't. A few minutes into the show my cell phone rang saying it was Tae.
"Hello." I said.
"Wassup baby, what you up too?"
I sighed. "Nothing just watching TV."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing I'm fine."
"Are you lying to me?"
"Yeah."
"So what's your problem?"
"I don't know its just a lot on my mind nothing for you to worry about."
"Shawty imma always worry about you just trust me. I got your back."
