I took Lil Jody and Jordan into the kitchen, where Cornell was sitting at the table eating a bowl of Fruit Loops.
"I know you ain't in here eatin' my kids' cereal," I said, snatching the box out of his hands.
"I almost got through the maze!" he argued.

H walked out the back door with his cell phone in his hand.
"Hurry up, ya'll," I said to the boys. Jordan wasn't doing anything but playing with his food, and Lil Jody was lost in space.

He looked at me, then at his hand, then back at me. I could see his eyes welling with tears, even though I barely touched him.
"Shed a tear and I see what I do to you," I threatened.

I sucked up his tears and gave me an angry look. I didn't want my boys to be punks. I wanted my boys to grow up as tough men. I was a little harder on Lil Jody because he was older and to be four he was pretty smart. Jordan on the other hand was still young and he had a lot of learning and growing to do.

Cornell walked back into the house with a smile on his face. "Tamara said she's on her... Aye, Jody, what's wrong with your shorty?" He looked at Lil Jody, who was mugging me like he really wanted some.

Cornell looked away from me when I brought up that topic. "I'm just trying to help you out, bruh." His voice was soft, and I could tell I'd hurt his feelings. He grabbed his jacket, which was slung over the chair he was sitting in, and head towards the door. "I'll be back in an hour or two."

"Don't forget what we have to do." I said before he left out the door. I cleaned up my shorties mess before getting their stuff. Then the doorbell rang.
I went to answer it and Tamara was standing there with her low cut shirt exposing herself and he skin tight jeans while she popped gum.
"Oh my God Jody its been so long." She said squeezing me in a hug. She was only sixteen but she was built like a grown woman and she had her own car.
"Wassup Tamera my shorties almost ready. Come on and sit down."
"Okay cool."
"Jody I have to admit you're looking extra good now." She said.
"What did I look bad before?"
"Nah you was just okay now you're fine. Jersey has done you well."
I laughed. "Thanks. So what you sixteen now?"
"I can be whatever age you want me to be." She said rolling her neck.
"You are so damn fresh." I laughed.

"Naw I was putting clothes on you." I lied I ain't gone lie she was bad, but that was my man lil' sister and I know he didn't play when it fame to her.
