A few minutes after they finished eating, Jordan went to sleep, so I put on a movie for Lil Jody and I to watch. I let him choose between Hustle and Flow and Friday. He chose Friday, which was his all time favorite movie. When the movie went off, I pulled him onto my lap. "You like it down here, Lil Jody?" I asked.

"But this is your home."
"No I mean home with mommy."
"You want to go back?"
"I don't know." He said,
I started to feel a little bad. Maybe this was a bad decision to bring them all the way down here like this. Jordan is young and may not understand anything other than cartoons but Jordan knows exactly what is happening.

"If you want, we can go back for a visit next month. After we get settled and everything. Or your mom could come down here for a few weeks."
His face instantly lit up. "Okay!"

I guess I should just bring his mom down here. That's the best choice because I need to keep an eye on things down here. I don't need to be vacationing too quick until a couple years from now or so.

"For now, you wanna go to the park, Lil Jody?"
"Yeah."
"Alright, wake Jordan up and help him put on his shoes so we can slide."
He happily obliged. The park was a ten minute walk from our mini-mansion.

I wanted to be the best father I could for my boys. I see so many guys doing exactly what I do but they don't make time for their kids. I make time for my boys because they only have one father and they need me in their lives.

Jordan's mother rarely even gave him the time of day, so I was working extra hard on being a great father to him.

I picked Jordan up and held Lil Jody's hand and we walked down to the park. We needed to fresh air.

As soon as we got to the park, the boys sped towards the swings. I sat down on a bench where I could see them.

I was a proud father. Yes I was young when I had my kids but I wouldn't change a thing. I think they have made me stronger and they have definately made me grow up faster.

"Wow. Small world, huh?" someone said from behind me. I turned around to see Carmen walking towards me. I looked at her like she was crazy.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"What you mean? Don't act like that, Jody."
"Don't like what? A nigga tried to help you out last night and you tossed me some serious shade. You expect me to happy with you?"

Carmen sat next to me. "Are those your kids?"
"Yeah."
"They're adorable. What are their names?"
"Lil Jody and Jordan."
