I didn't want Mekhi to get in the habit of eating out, but sometimes I didn't feel like cooking. I guess I'd better get in the swing of things again.

We got into Shuneal's car and he drove to the nearest McDonalds, which was ten minutes away. We went inside instead of through the drive through.

We got in line and waited five minutes until we could place our order. Shuneal placed the order for us. He got a Happy Meal for Mekhi, a double cheeseburger for me, and a McChicken for himself.

We all sat down to eat and while we were laughing and talking I kept noticing this older woman looking our direction and smiling. Part of me thought she was just probably being nice, but then again it was a little creepy. After she finished her meal she made her way over to us.
"Sorry I don't mean to bother you, I just admire your family ma'am." She said smiling.
"Aww thanks."
"Young love is so beautiful to me, you two look like you'll be together a long time. Sorry for bothering you."
"Thanks that's so nice." I said as she waved bye and walked away.
I hadn't really gave the thought of me and Shuneal being together a long time or even forever any thought. I guess it make sense to give this whole thing some thought, but I don't think he's the type to settle down and get married.

I stopped eating for a moment and looked at Shuneal. After a few second he noticed me staring. He smiled. "What?"
"Nothing," I said.
"Why you mugging me like that?"
"I wasn't mugging you. I was just looking."
"So, I'm that fine, huh?"
"Boy, don't flatter yourself." I smiled. "You're alright. Pretty at the most."

I laughed. "You wanna put money on that?"
"Straight up."
"Cool. One day, we'll go to the mall and split up. Whoever leaves with the most numbers gets one hundred dollars from the loser."

"Okay." I picked Mekhi up and headed out of the restaurant while Shuneal threw away our trash. He met me at the door, then we got in his car and headed down the street to the park.

We all got out and I let Mekhi run right to the playground.

"Be careful," I yelled after him when he almost bumped into another little boy who was running. Shuneal and I found a bench to sit at in the shade.

"Yeah?"
"Where are we going?"
"Back home after this."
He chuckled. "I mean in our relationship."
"Oh."
"Like we've been living together for a minute and all. I know how I said I wasn't into the marriage thing, but your the only person I can see myself being with...ever."

I didn't respond immediately because I didn't know what to say. "I don't know," I said honestly.
"You know I love you, right?" I nodded. "And you love me, right?" I nodded again. "Then you know where we're going."
"Huh?" I was confused by his logic.
"Let me explain," he said before calling Mekhi over. "You still got that thing I put in your pocket earlier?" he asked once Mekhi made his way over to us.
Mekhi smiled and nodded, then pulled a small black box out of his jacket pocket and handed it Shuneal.

Shuneal looked at me and got up before getting down on one knee.
"Mickey Lolanni Morris will you marry me?" He asked with so much sincerity.
"Oh my gosh....." I was lost for words.
"So what'll it be?"
"Yes!...Yes baby!" I yelled before kissing him on the lips. A few people in the park clapped as Shuneal slipped the ring on my finger.

I jumped into his arms and kissed him again when he stood up, then I hugged Mekhi.
