Janique nodded and picked Janiyah up. She walked into her bedroom and laid Janiyah down. She laid there until her daughter went to sleep, then Janique got up and picked up her cell phone.

"Anthony, just hear me out real quick before answering. I just want things to be like-" Keisha said before Anthony's phone rang interrupting their conversation. It seemed like she never had a chance to talk to him without something interrupting them.

She wondered who Anthony was talking to? It doesn't matter to her because she knew her marriage was slowly fading away, Keisha thought to herself.

She tried her best to listen in on the conversation Anthony was having in the next room over. She could hear him making a promise to someone named Janice. At least she thought he said Janice.

Anthony went to his room, grabbed some clothes, and headed to the shower. Kiesha was mugging him the whole time.

Ashanti's voice blared through the speakers of Anthony's car, and Janique sang along from the passenger's seat. Anthony would've rather listened to rap music, but he made an exception that day. It was his way of apologizing for the previous night.

Janique had paid her neighbor to keep Janiyah all day and night even though she never had to pay. Janique wore her tight Bebe jeans, with a blank silky tank top and her dusty pink blazer with her Concord Jordans. She didn't want to be overdressed because she didn't know where her and Anthony were going.
