I was so excited to be going out with Tae. Even though Shantell was going to be there just seeing him would make me happy. I got my driver to drop me off and when I got out the car, Tae was just walking up with Shantell.

I approached him and gave him a quick hug. "Hey, Tae." I looked at Shantell and waved as politely as I could.
"What's up, Asia?" Tae said.

"It's this new action movie with Denzel Washington."
"Oh okay cool. So where's your other friend?" I asked.

"He should be pulling up any minute... Oh, there he is."
I looked to where Tae was looking. I saw some guy get out of a Royal blue Caddillac on twenty-eights. Let me just say this: dude was fine. Like Usher, Lyfe Jennings, or Terrence Howard fine.

I was in shock I knew my jaw was probably dropped so I fixed my face. He got out the car with his skin smooth as caramel, short curly caesar haircut, and his mustache was trimmed to perfection. He was fresh to death and the closer he got the met the better his Polo Black cologne smelled,
"Wassup Tae." He said while dapping him up.
"What's good my man. You remember Shantell right."
"Hey how you doing?"
"I'm good."
"And this is Asia." Tae said introducing me.

"Jay-Sean."
"Alright, now that we all know each other," Tae said, "let's go see this movie."

Once everyone purchased their ticket Shanel and I went to find seats while Tae and Jay-Sean got popcorn.

I have to admit it was weird sitting here with my ex and a fine guy. Even though it wasn't said Jay-Sean bought one popcorn for us to share. He said he didn't want that much, but it was fine with me. During the previews Jay-Sean was trying to get to know me. He came off as a pretty cool guy.

Right before the movie started, Jay-Sean did the old yawn and touch. I didn't protest, which shocked me.

By bringing Jay-Sean here Tae really played his cards right. By the middle of the movie we were both sitting closer a little hugged up.

"So, what did ya'll think?" Tae asked as the movie ended and we headed out of the theater.
"It was cool," Jay-Sean said.
"Yeah, I liked it," I added.
Shantell must have been the prissy type who only watched romance movies because she fell asleep after the first five minutes.

"Aight' imma' hit yall up later." Tae said as he and Shantell walked over to the parking lot. I was about to call my driver because I knew he was close.
"I had a really good time today." Jay-Sean said.
I put the phone down. "Yeah me too."
"Do you think...I can get your number? Maybe we can hang out sometime."

I opened my mouth prepared to say yes, but a brighter thought came to my mind. "Ummm... how old are you?"
"Sixteen."
"Sixteen?" I was happy to hear that he was around my age. "Cool. Give me your phone." He did as instructed and I put my number in it.

"Is that your business? Drive the car."

He looked back at me through the rearview mirror then brought his focus back to the road. I was making sure I wasn't going to let this get messed up...not this time.

When we pulled up to my house, I was surprised to see my mom's car sitting in the driveway, and even more surrprised to see her waiting for me on the porch.

I got out the car slowly because I didn't know what to expect.
"Asia where have you been?" She exclaimed.
"At the movies. Why is something wrong?"
"Yes we have to go you knew we were going to Jamaica this week. Are you even packed?"
"Do I have to go? I mean since when do I get to travel? Any other time I just stay home."

"This is different, sweetie. The maid is taking the week off so no one will be here o watch over you, and Jamie's parents are gone too."
"Mom, I really don't want to go."
"This isn't up for discussion, Asia. Go get packed. Our flight is scheduled to start in half an hour."
"It's a private plane. It's not going anywhere without us," I said before storming into the house and into my bedroom. I threw some clothes into my Gucci suitcase and headed back downstairs.
