I waited as Cherish told her dad where we were going. Her chauffer ushered us to their Maybach and headed towards the mall.

The first place we went was to some high end store. There were bathing suits everywhere in so many colors. All the price tags said a hundred dollars or more and I knew this wasn't the place for me.
"Pick anything you want, as many as you want, just spurge." Cherish told me.
It didn't take me long to get in the hang of picking up any and everything I wanted as we shopped from store to store.

I got Mehki a whole bunch of name brand stuff too. I was so excited. It helped me keep my mind off things at home. By the time we left the mall it was too late to go to the beach. I didn't feel like dealing with Trey so we chilled at her house.

I know I didn't know Cherish from the next person but I felt comfortable being here. I felt safe and worry free.

Wince we shopped today I didn't really need to go hone for any clothes. That was another plus. I'm so glad he doesn't know where I'm at.

"Girl we can go to the beach tomorrow. Sorry I got wrapped up in shopping Cherish said.
We all got in the house and her butler took the bags up to her room.
"Cherish come here." I heard her father say from down the hall.
"I'll be back." She said.
I laid Mekhi down on her couch and went to eavesdrop. I tipped down the hall and put my ear to the door.
"Mickey what the hell?" I heard her father say.
"What?"
"Why are you swiping that card like you've lost your mind?"
"Huh? Well I thought-"
"No I understand I said have fun but don't go crazy dammit."
"I'm...I'm sorry."
"Mhmm its okay but next time don't do that."
I ran back down the hall and waited for her to come in her room.

When she came back, her eyes were watery and glassy. I could tell that she was the sensitive type.
"Are you okay, Cherish?" I asked.
She nodded.

"My dad doesn't want me spending all the money on the card." She said wiping her teary eyes.

She waved her hand dismissively as she dialed a number on her cell.
"Staci," she said, "are you busy? Can you come over here for a minute?"

She left the room to talk on the phone and came back a few minutes later. I didn't want to be too nosey but I wonder who Staci was.

My little son was sleeping so soundly. I looked at my phone which had been buzzing for almost an hour. Trey had been calling my phone non-stop and I knew he was going to be really mad.
